26 Nov Supporters Meeting, Livermead House Hotel, Wednesdsy 26th November
We were delighted to welcome a star studded team to our meeting on 26th November – Dr Helen Saxby (Consultant Oncologist), Abbi Akery (Urology metastatic CNS), Doug Perry (specialist pharmacy technician), and Jessie James (specialist oncology dietician). The interactive morning involved an introductory presentation followed by ‘break out’ groups that allowed members to focus more closely on specific areas of interest with each of the specialist speakers in smaller numbers. The concept worked well, and is something that we will consider including in subsequent meetings, when appropriate. The meeting concluded with a question and answer during which, primarily, Dr Saxby fielded a wide range of excellent questions. Our attendances continue to grow with a turnout in excess of 50. The whole morning was extremely well received and we are extremely grateful for the time and effort afforded to us by such a competent and busy team (one member of the panel even came in from annual leave to talk to us!). Our thanks, as always, to urology and oncology.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25 February 2026, when we welcome;
